ANAHEIM GARDENWALK WELCOMES NEW STORE,

SOCKERBIT SWEET & SWEDISH, ON SEPTEMBER 29

First-to-Market, Sockerbit Sweet & Swedish Opens

First Orange County Location

(ANAHEIM, CA) – On September 29, the fall will get sweeter as Anaheim GardenWalk welcomes  Sockerbit Sweet & Swedish, a first-to-market location at the center. With only two other locations in the U.S. (New York & Los Angeles), Sockerbit Sweet & Swedish’s

1,840 sq. ft. store will feature traditional Scandinavian candies including over 150 kinds of licorice, marshmallows, chocolates, and hard candies, all available in countless combinations of sweet, sour, and salty. Made in Scandinavia, Sockerbit Sweet & Swedish’s candies are made with high quality ingredients: natural colors, no GMO’s, no transfats and free of high fructose corn syrup. Featuring Scandinavian concept, the store prides itself on serving customers using fun and funky cups and utensils, which can be purchased at the store. Sockerbit Sweet & Swedish will be located on GardenWalk’s main street level, near Lush Fresh Hand Made Cosmetics in the Kate & Ella Court.

“We are excited to present Sockerbit Sweet & Swedish’s first Orange County location and introduce our customers to the Scandinavian candy culture,” said Jerry Alder, General Manager, Anaheim GardenWalk.

Owned by husband and wife team, Florence Baras and Steffan Ernberg, the mission of Sockerbit Sweet & Swedish is to share the Scandinavian candy culture and an amazing selection of "smågodis” (little candies). For any Scandinavian person (Swedish, Danish, Finnish or Norwegian), smågodis is part of everyday life, and most of the Swedes grew up with the tradition of "lördagsgodi,” meaning “Saturday sweets”, often the highlight of a child’s week.

“We are delighted to open Sockerbit Sweet & Swedish at Anaheim GardenWalk and to reach people in the U.S. and international tourists, so that they too can enjoy the sweetness of Scandinavian candy. Anaheim GardenWalk is a great opportunity for this, as it is located adjacent to Disneyland with tourists who have never sampled our candies,” said Florence Baras, owner of Sockerbit Sweet & Swedish.

Sockerbit Sweet & Swedish’s candy is sold in bulk, but chocolate bars and larger boxed, bagged, and pre-wrapped candies are also available.  In addition, customers can enjoy the store’s coffee corner where they can order unique Scandanavian coffees and drinks. There is also a communal table where children can make complimentary crafts.
